WANJIRU WACHARO — FOUNDER & GUIDE

Born into Gĩkũyũ heritage, Wanjiru carries the rhythms, stories, and philosophies of her people in her body and practice. Her path led her to the United Kingdom, where she expanded her artistic and academic work and completed a Master’s degree in Dance Anthropology.
Through her studies, she explored the body as a living archive — a vessel of memory, culture, and identity. Her return home was intentional: a return to land, community, and embodied ways of knowing.
Wanjiru Wacharo is a movement practitioner, cultural preservationist, and healer whose work is rooted in embodied knowledge and ancestral wisdom. She is of Gĩkũyũ origin, and her life’s journey moves between land, culture, education, and reclamation of ancestral wisdom.
She believes that movement is life, that every day is a grand rising, and that the future lives in the children.
